Matthew Aubeuf

Hailing from New York, Matthew Aubeuf is a performer, educator and researcher focusing on Ghanaian music. He has received his B.M and M.M in classical percussion. While being classically trained, over the past 10 years Matthew has traveled to Ghana multiple times to study traditional drumming and xylophone music, in addition to the culture that fosters it. In 2016 Matthew took part of the mwan goba ceremony becoming inducted into gyil society. Upon returning from his 2019 Ghana trip Matthew moved from Syracuse, NY to southern Florida, bringing his love for Ghanaian music with him.
