Renata Black and Sofia Vergara are the co-founders of EBY. EBY is a women’s empowerment brand delivering killer product and purpose in a box. EBY drives profits with purpose, donating 10% of its proceeds to the Seven Bar Foundation to fuel microfinance for impoverished women. EBY has been featured on The View, Good Morning America and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. EBY i) delivers an everyday product that women LOVE while aligning with women’s established buying habits, ii) solves for major pain points in the shopping experience, particularly for the plus size customer, iii) enables women to have an impact with the one decision they make every morning (what underwear to wear), and iv) most importantly, EBY creates a lasting relationship with its customers through its women’s empowerment self-help programs.
In 2005 Renata studied under Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus. Deepak Chopra’s book “The Soul of Leadership” features a chapter dedicated to Renata. She has spoken about entrepreneurship and female empowerment and women in business at numerous institutions including the United Nations, MIT and Harvard Business School.
